Community Rules

By using the PBX, you agree to the following rules. All members are required to follow these rules.

The current rules still apply wether or not you are aware of the rule or not, meaning if the rules are updated, they still apply even if you have not read the new rule(s).

These rules do not apply if your call is gonna through a external trunk that you or someone else provides that line. Use of those trucks are subject to rules or TOS from the provider and the law.

1. No harassing anyone through the system including internal or external. This includes unwanted spam calling. No unwanted prank calling.

2. Your use of the system (extensions, UCP login, etc) is restricted to personal/hobby use only. NO COMMERCIAL (for purposes of making money) USE. If you need help setting up a PBX for your business or company, feel free to reach out to me our one of our members.

3. Private calls (calls between 2 people) are not regulated.

4. All calls must have a caller ID associated with it. Anonymous calls are not allowed either internally, or through outbound and inbound and will be blocked.

5. Unless you provide your own trunk, 911/999/112/000 and 988 is not available. Attempting to call these numbers will result in a message saying that it’s not available. Do not attempt dialing emergency services ever on any phone system without an actual emergency present. Constant attempts to dial emergency numbers will result in suspension of service.

6. No dialing people’s alarm panels on ProtoStar and AlarmLink labs without their permission.

7. Do not make pages or intercoms for no reason or to annoy others. Do not use intercom to spy on someone. If this rule is broken you may loose access to making pages and intercoms. This includes test pages.

8. When voicemail asks you to record your name, ONLY SAY YOUR FULL DISPLAY NAME. DONT JUST SAY NOTHING OR SAY ANYTHING ELSE. This recording is used in the directory and it messes things up when you don't use your name. If you don't follow this guideline your recording will be removed.

9. No calling operator for stuff you can do by yourself. This includes calling numbers.

10. No calling people for self promotion, this includes but not limited to advertising your or someone elses phone system, social media accounts, YouTube channels, etc.

13. Administration reserves the right to remove accounts which have not been registered or connected for at least 365 days with no plan of using their accounts again.

14. By using outbound PSTN services, you consent to these calls being recorded for lilabity and security purposes. If you do not consent to calls being recorded, you must notify administration and you will not have access to PSTN services. You may still provide your own trunk.

17. Absolutely NO illegal activity. Such as sending unwanted pizzas, threats, etc.

18. If you are trying to call someone and you call them 3 times within half an hour don’t keep calling them. They are very obviously busy or unavailable or they don’t wish to take your call. And is outright annoying.

19. Some members are allowed to get their own DID through the PBX, however they must build trust with me first before they can get one.
